Daily Thoughts for February 2021

“Two of Lady Gaga's French bulldogs were stolen on Wednesday night, after a gunman shot her dog-walker in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Lady Gaga has offered a reward for the return of her dogs, Koji and Gustav.  However, she offers nothing to the dog hander Ryan Fische or the capture of his tormentors.  It would be interesting to observe Spiritual Law at work here and allow God to make His judgements for the greater good.”

“Princess Latifa, the captive daughter of Dubai's ruler, has appealed to UK police to re-investigate the kidnap of her older sister from a Cambridge street more than 20 years ago.  Here is a house ruled by fear and hatred as they only count wealth and forsake the love of God and the needs of the children.  We pray that Spiritual Law will prevail as God’s will be done.”

“Customs authorities in Germany and Belgium have seized a record of more than 23 tonnes of cocaine that was destined for the Netherlands. German officials discovered 16 tonnes of the drug in five shipping containers that had arrived in the port of Hamburg from Paraguay earlier this month. This is an example of financial greed in peddling misery to so many faceless souls.”

“Tiger Woods is in surgery after suffering "multiple leg injuries" in a car crash in Los Angeles, California.  The LA County Sheriff's Department said that it "responded to a single-vehicle rollover" accident in which the "vehicle sustained major damage". The 15-time golf major champion, 45, had to be "extricated from the wreck" by firefighters and paramedics.  We send out our prayers to the Divine Healer to help the surgeons and to allow healing to be miraculous and allow him to still play golf again to entertain the people.”

“President Joe Biden has addressed the nation as the US passed the figure of 500,000 Ovid-related deaths, the highest number of any country. "As a nation, we can't accept such a cruel fate. We have to resist becoming numb to the sorrow," he said. "Today I ask all Americans to remember. Remember those we lost and remember those we left behind," President Biden said, calling for Americans to fight Covid together.”

“Donald Trump has been ordered by the US Supreme Court to hand over his tax returns and other financial records to prosecutors in New York.  The former US president has been refusing to release the documents for several years, despite a precedent that presidential candidates should do so.  He has to learn that he is not special in the eyes of God or his fellow Americans.”

“Anti-vaccination protesters have gathered across Australia ahead of the launch of the country's coronavirus inoculation program.  Protests were held in cities including Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, with participants chanting slogans like: "My body, my choice."  What social media puts out as misinformation .is believed and is destroying civilization.”

“The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to hospital on Tuesday evening "as a precautionary measure" after feeling unwell.  Buckingham Palace has said. Prince Philip, 99, was taken to the King Edward VII Hospital in central London.  A palace source told the BBC the Duke traveled by car to the hospital, where he was admitted on his doctor's advice.  Our prayers are with him and all who look after him.”

“Tiny parasitic wasps are being deployed at a historic mansion in a bid to stop moths damaging rare treasures including a tapestry from Catherine the Great. The pest control technique is being used at Blickling Hall in Norfolk, thought to be the birthplace of Henry VIII's second wife Anne Boleyn. The wasps lay their own eggs inside moth eggs to stop them reproducing. A survey by the National Trust showed pests and molds had thrived at historic properties in lock down.”

“The daughter of Dubai's ruler who tried to flee the country in 2018 later sent secret video messages to friends accusing her father of holding her "hostage" as she feared for her life. In footage shared with BBC Panorama, Princess Latifa Al Maktoum says commandos drugged her as she fled by boat and flew her back to detention.  Much wealth and power can fuel cruelty and deny basic human rights to those who most need them.”

“Former President Donald Trump has launched a scathing personal attack on fellow Republican Mitch McConnell. "Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack," said Mr Trump, "and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again.  Trump forgets the disgrace that he has brought to the Republican Party. His stain may never be removed.”

“Texas is known for its sprawling deserts and excruciating heatwaves - but right now, it's blanketed in a thick layer of ice. The state is seeing some of its coldest temperatures in more than 30 years, with some areas breaking records that are more than a century old.  In a statement on Sunday night, President Joe Biden declared an emergency in Texas, which authorities US agencies to co-ordinate disaster relief in the state.  Climate change is showing up everywhere it seems.”

“Myanmar's military has warned anti-coup protesters across the country that they could face up to 20 years in prison if they obstruct the armed forces. Long sentences and fines will also apply to those found to incite "hatred or contempt" towards the coup leaders, the military said. Send out your prayers for a peaceful solution to these bully boy tactics.”

“Senate Republican Lindsey Graham told reporters he will meet former President Donald Trump in the coming weeks to discuss "the future of the Republican Party". On the heels of the 6 January riots and a second impeachment trial, there are real tensions in the party about the way ahead  There is much to be done to cleanse Democracy in the United States of America.”

“Stunning rare photographs published by NASA have revealed the extent of illegal gold mining in Peru's Amazon rain forest. The "rivers of gold" are actually pits believed to have been dug by unlicensed miners. The mining is poisoning local communities as tonnes of mercury is used to extract the gold and scientists say a significant amount is released into rivers or the atmosphere.  Man’s greed will surely kill us all in time”.

“Archaeologists have managed to get near-perfect sounds out of a musical instrument that's more than 17,000 years old. It's a conch shell that was found in a hunter-gatherer cave in southern France. We are blessed to be shown miracles at these times of stress.  God is showing us love to keep going and trust.”

“The company that made Grenfell Tower's cladding would "by default" sell flammable materials to construction projects, including high-rise buildings, a sales manager has said. Deborah French told the public inquiry into the June 2017 west London blaze that Arconic could have sold a fire-retardant product, but she said it saw the UK market as preferring a slightly cheaper version, albeit with a greater fire risk. Seventy-two people died in the fire. How much is a human life worth?”

“As the second impeachment trial of Donald Trump opens in the American Senate, let us hope that it will be about American Law and not simply about politics. If this matter of storming the Capital is not dealt with correctly, it will become the norm for America and stain democracy in the free world.”

“Police in Myanmar have fired rubber bullets during a demonstration in the capital Nay Pyi Taw, as thousands defied a ban on protests.  Water cannon and tear gas have also been used against protesters but reports of live bullet usage are unconfirmed. Democracy has once more been abused by military power lords intent on crushing the people.”

“There is a "very credible case" that the Chinese government is carrying out the crime of genocide against the Uighur people, according to a formal legal opinion newly published in the UK. It concludes there is evidence of state-mandated behavior showing an intent to destroy the largely Muslim minority in north-western China. Man’s inhumanity to Man continues.”

“The Islamic State (IS) group has launched more than 100 attacks in north-eastern Syria over the last month alone and is terrorizing many towns and villages at night.  Can’t we all prayer to the Higher Intelligence to allow peace and harmony and especially protect the innocent but suffering children?”

“A miracle before the whole world as Pope Francis appointed a woman as an undersecretary to the Synod of Bishops for the first time.  Mary Magdalene is smiling and God Himself sees the work of so many centuries fulfilled.”

“Scientists believe they may have discovered the smallest reptile on earth - a chameleon subspecies that is the size of a seed.  Two of the tiny lizards were discovered by a German-Madagascan expedition team in Madagascar. The male Brookesia nana, or nano-chameleon, has a body of just 13.5mm.  God still surprises us by His creations.”

“The United Nations says Yemen is the world's worst humanitarian crisis, with 80% of the population in need of aid or protection.  Now is the time to join together and ask all nations before God to bring in peace and harmony.”

When will they ever learn! House of Representatives Republican leader Kevin McCarthy disavowed Marjorie Taylor Greene's remarks, but noted they came before she was elected. Democrats, who control the chamber, said they would vote to expel Mrs Greene from her committees on Thursday. Republicans are now seeking to expel a Democratic lawmaker from committees.  Grow up children and do what is right and best for America.”

“We salute you Captain Tom for your life and bringing us the direction that was so badly needed by your actions.  We pray that God will grant you a safe and happy passing into His arms carried by the angels.  Our love and support go with you.”

“Myanmar woke to the news on Monday that the military had seized control of the country.  Their democracy was sweep away again by the military bully boys, who care little for the people and seek power and greed for themselves.”

“The 100-year-old Captain Sir John Moore who raised. £3.3 million for the NHS is in need of our prayers, as he has been taken into hospital suffering from pneumonia but has now tested positive for Coronavirus.”
